My advice to couples is to think of a pre wedding photography session (or otherwise also known as engagement portraits) as a date, that so happen to come with photos.

As a pre wedding photographer I hope to capture the honest expression of your relationship in a genuine, authentic, artful way. My favourite images tend to be the ones of the in-between moments, the quiet moments, the ones that represent who you are alone, and who you are together as a couple. Every couple is different and every story is unique, so the way I photograph each session is very much tailored to the specific couple. If you are worried about being awkward in front of the camera, don’t worry - I’ll be here to guide you, to create a space so that you can be comfortable in so that we can get make some photographs that are true to who you are.

A pre wedding photography session is also a great way to prepare for your wedding day - all of my couples felt so much more comfortable and eased into a lot quicker on their wedding day. It’s an opportunity to capture your relationship before you are officially married (and probably the second last time you will get photos taken of just you both if you are intending to have kids - trust me, I know!) I offer a discount for purchasing both packages too.

In terms of locations, if there’s a spot where is meaningful to your relationship, let’s do that! Having meaning behind a space brings so much more depth to a photograph. We can also explore new places together, or otherwise I have a whole list of places to recommend.
